Island Life

I just spent two wonderful, relaxing weeks in P.E.I. Thanks to Paul, Lori and Sosi for taking good care of me the first week. I got to see their lovely new renovated house, and was treated to some mighty fine cooking and baking. In spite of her pregnancy, Lori drove me around the island to some interesting spots. Walks on beaches, Belfast Mini Mill, Tea in Victoria… Then I moved a few blocks over to Charlotte’s Rose B&B with my parents and sister (we highly recommend it). Charlottetown is somehow quaint and modern at the same time. Calm, friendly, and attractive. I can see why Lori decided to make it home.

Trip highlights include The Preserve Company in New Glasgow, Dalvay by the Sea, Georgetown, Cousin’s Shore, and the amazing sand dunes at Greenwich.

Crossing a continent is exhausting, and by the time I got home I was kind of miserable and ready to drop. But waiting in my kitchen was granola, coffee, milk, yogurt and eggs which were left by Anastasia who checked on my place while I was gone. Me thinks I have the best friends anyone could ask for!  Thanks AC…
