My dolls and bags at Dear Home Decor & Gifts (2212 Granville St.). They can also be found at Madame Edgar in Montreal, and Hello Sunshine in Toronto.

The only thing that makes me more grumpy than sewing, is shopping for clothes in downtown Vancouver (well, there are a few other things as well). I always start out happy, and then somewhere between the fiddling, ironing, undoing, redoing, and general lack of instant gratification I blow a gasket. And I’m often unhappy with my results and never end up wearing it. But I think I might be able to live with this skirt. (Burda 8344 but any basic A-line would do the trick) – next time I would lower the waistline a bit and I added a slit to the back and my own roundy gathered pockets with orange piping.
What’s up with downtown anyway? Why does it have to be the worst place in Vancouver? And now with Granville dug up it is even more of a gray desolate wasteland of blowing trash and crazy looking deadbeats.
