I’m a tad late with this. But fellow Jupiterite Mark ‘Atomos’ Pilon will be giving a seminar “Illustration and Marketing for Magazines” for the Western Magazine Awards. It’s tonight at 7pm. There may still be seats ($10) Here are the details.

Another Jupiterite, Hobo Divine (aka Jamie Mason), has collaborated with Robert Chaplin to turn Rob’s illustrated story, Ten Counting Cat, into a wee animation. Check it out!

It is paint on linen fabric.

I have a small piece in this upcoming one-night-only show at the Ace Hotel in Portland. It is curated by Jason Sturgill of the Wurst Gallery. Click here for details. Unfortunately I forgot to take a half-decent photo of my Norwich Terrier doll… oop.
Check out Jess Hutchison’s contribution which is also stuffed – love it!

Other artists include Camilla Engman, Keri Smith, S. Britt, Susie Ghahremani, Travis Lampe, and Jill Bliss…

“The Wurst Gallery launches their biggest show to date, with over 100 artists from all over the world each representing a different dog breed in their own unique way – from a five-foot plush doll to postcard-sized paintings. A portion of the proceeds of the art sales from this event will benefit Dove Lewis Animal Hospital in Portland, OR. Artists featured in the show hail from Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Germany, United Kingdom, Canada, Denmark, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Philippines, Norway, Sweden and throughout the United States.

A one-night exhibit of the Wurstminster Dog Show will take place on Saturday, February 3rd at the newly opened Ace Hotel in Portland. Following the opening event, the work will be displayed and for sale online at http://thewurstgallery.com.”

bags in shop

There are now some bags in my shop. Sewn in my own private sweat shop (ie by me). Great for groceries (tofu, ham hocks, you name it), library books (sorry, not suitable for Ayn Rand), and the beach (pass the brewskies!).
