Last night was the well-attended opening party for Ravishing Beasts: The alluring world of taxidermy at the Museum of Vancouver (MOV). The displays and specimens were wonderful — if you haven’t checked out the revamped museum yet, I encourage you to do so. There are also events for children offered.
This show’s curator has her own website devoted to the theme of taxidermy. And for a disturbing laugh (or grimace), feast yer peepers on the Crappy Taxidermy blog.
The promotional print material for this exhibit was created by me, based on MOV branding designed by Kaldor.

Happy Birthday to Anastasia! My first attempt at a proper chocolate cake = success. Dinner = soup from Seb’s (the best), and greens with lemony chicken, prosciutto, tomatoes, avocado, feta, parsley, onion.
